Just a little heads up,some people have contacted me about rehoming a male Green Wing and a male Panama, they've had both since they where babies (20+yrs) are very friendly and best of friends. We'll have to see what happens when they call tomorrow and talk to Josie about the Macaw( Josie's a bit timid about a macaw) the two birds are pretty much a package deal as they've been together all their lifes.I'll keep you informed.

FWIW, after being bit by Oliver, I'm falling in love with him. If I weren't married to a man with an aversion to noise (and animals and their messes), I think I'd be doing what I needed to do to bring him home with me. Of course, you have to keep in mind this is coming from a girl who ALSO wants to bring home Cali, Sam, Cinni-mini, a blue-crown conure, and any number of other birds she sees and falls for... so take it for what it's worth. BUT - I do have to say that Oliver and I have made up. I let him "chew" on my fingers now and he'll put his head down for scritches and loves when I tell him too. ***PLUS*** Yesterday he finally stepped up for me, not once but TWICE! And that's what prompted the bite in the first place - so that's a big step for both of us.

As far as I'm concerned as long as it's not a cockatoo, I say go for it.

Plus, if you take them and it doesn't work out, I'll just bet they could find a home in Colorado. I know someone who just LOVES macaws. She is to macaws in Colorado what y'all are to 'zons in Florida. Smile She just can't turn them down.

Panama??? You know it's my dream bird Sad

I have to rob a bank, buy my own apartment and then yes. Now I'll be thinking about that Panama non-stop.

Please keep us posted, Capt.

They PMed me this evening and said they placed the birds with a lady in Pa, who lives much closer than we do.Which is OK with us ,we don't really need any more birds but would have taken them if they couldn't find a good home.
