| Sam is settling in great. He's talking more than I've ever heard him! His favorite things to say are still his old stand-by's, "hey baby" and "are you ok?", but I'm also hearing:

(when I'm on the phone) ok, bye bye! And , I love you, Bye bye!
He whistles, "come here" to the dogs, making them nuts!
After his bath, he kept saying, "bath? Water?"

| No conure kicking will be happening, I assure you. Sam is surprising me daily, almost hourly, with the things he's coming up with. Some of this he has to have known from his previous life but some of it I wonder if he's already picking up from me/us. He is a special bird and I do love him sooooo very much! I'm sure I'd have loved one of Capt's 'Zons, but I have to admit that I'm really glad I chose for Sam. I'll never never regret this decision.
Even my hubs seems to like him and has said he's determined to conquer his dislike/fear of people by giving him an almond every day for the rest of his life. In hubs mind, Almonds are the solution to all the worlds birdie ills! (I'm not so sure he's wrong!) | |

| Thanks Margaret! Actually Dusty, All I said was "NO! NO BITE!" Quite emphatically I might add... I'm becoming more careful about what I say because of how well and how much he's turning out to be a talker. I'd hate for him to start repeating some of my more "colorful" phrases at inopportune times!  | |
