William Shatner doesn't like macaws?

So I don't know what it is with me and finding bird videos recently, but this one came up and I also felt I needed to share.

Apparently Priceline is killing off William Shatner's Priceline Negotiater because you will no longer be able to name your own price. The ad is funny, but... they don't get the macaw out!!!!!

They all get their luggage but the parrot goes down in flames. What's up with that?

Apparently, because the ad was released and put on their website so early, and because Shatner is technically still under contract, there's talk of him making a comeback for a SuperBow commercial. Maybe he'll have the bird with him??

I just thought it was really strange that there's this huge bird RIGHT next to him with half the spotlight for the first part of the ad and they didn't bother to sit the cage out with the rest of the luggage.

EDIT: If you freezeframe at :08/:09, there's a monkey in there, too!!! What gives?!? Maybe they're just trying to give it the South/Central American feel?

I'm going to guess they found it was too hard to keep taking the cage out (these things take a lot of takes) and just didn't think through the consequences. Def going for the Mexican/South American bus thing, but the bus is way too clean!

Aside from which, who was the bird with?
