Maybe yours don't but mine certainly do. Shocked

And a funny on a side note... Arthur, my Jardine has started something very funny. I have to dremel his beak every other week or so because it genetically grows wrong (His top mandible grows twice as thick on one side than the other so it forces his bottom beak to scissor). Right before Christmas I found an awesome new dremel bit that has been working magic. Its cone shaped and small so it can do very fine sculpting. The funny things is that now when he sees me grab the dremel and head to his cage to get him, he giggles and makes this hilarious "BRRRRRRRR" raspberry noise, which is probably what he hears in his skull when I'm dremeling him. LOL

Oh... and about poking birds... Bryan was the newest winner at the rescue. Surprise cockatoo attack during a water refill. 7 stitches in his ring finger. Peeled it like a grape.

Very nice!

My husband was helping me with some cage maintenance yesterday. Birds kept trying to eat him so I stuck my hand in as bait.

So far I think the stitch score is tied at 4, though I am not in the running because the last two bites I got I stitched/glued myself (I used to be an EMT)

Because they love us, sometimes more unconditionally than other times? LOL

In psychology we're discussing human emotion. And in anthropology, we are learning about the cognitive abilities of the apes.

I feel like the more I learn, the more questions I have.

I really do believe that they feel emotions. But maybe their 'emotions' aren't the same as ours or are felt the same as us. I think it's egotistical to believe that humans are "above" other animals intellectually. We've all learned our ways of thinking and feeling to help each of us succeed in the world.

I don't know.

Because they're not venomous.
