| I live in an apartment with my three. I feel bad when they're screaming all day, but no one has ever said anything. They generally scream during the day (appropriate noise hours). | |

| 3 budgies and one cockatiel and no complaints.
They have been quiet, but since Einstein has been beeping, I've been worried.

| We've had no complaints with Poe, and he can scream something wicked some days.
I periodically check with the resident manager of my building to make sure my neighbors haven't been complaining and he's been ignoring (we've known each other for a long time, and he generally ignores noise complaints about me; just as he ignores noise complaints about crying infants, and running toddlers), and he still claims that no one has made a complaint.
As long as your walls aren't so thin that you can hear your neighbors TV at a low volume setting, there really shouldn't be an issue.
Just don't get anything noisier than a GCC.

| I do. I was concern before buying Amazon to that point, that I was searching for soundproofing materials on other forum. Soon it will be 1 year since Lucky is with us.
Knock, knock: 3 budgies, 2 cockatiels and 1 amazon, so far, so good.

| My MIL had her Amazon, same kind as Lucky, in her apartment for years. As far as I know, no one complained. Although, actually, I'm not sure I ever heard that bird make a sound! | |

| I was in several apartments (moved because of crazy roommates or silly ex-boyfriends), and never had any complaints about the boys. At one point I had a breeding pair of tiels, pet cockatiel, Caique, and African Grey Merlin (our Grey) is generally the quietest of the three as far as sound volume & screaming goes. He more talks & has his party sound and other home sound effects going on in lieu of annoying sounds. I DO recommend having a 2-bedroom apartment, so you can have them in the middle room (not right next to a neighbour's wall), this way the sound tends not to travel, and it keeps the usual mess to a small area of the apartment. | |
