| Adopted this little guy on Saturday! His name is Koda and he is an australian shepherd (: Zada is kind of fond of him! She says hello to him and she watches him and she goes to the bottom of her cage to keep an eye on him haha. They also talk to each other! When he whines (at night while in his crate ) she talks back to him! Its pretty cute. | |

| Australian Shephards are great dogs, my brother had one for years. Very lovable and loyal. Koda is so sweet! Love the nose! | |

| Actually, since they are both babies, this is the best time to acquaint them with one another as long as they are supervised. You will be surprised how quickly they become friends. | |

| That's how all our cats learned. We allowed them to be curious and the minute they did something the birds didn't like, they got their nose or paws nipped. Granted we were right there every time so there were no severe injuries but one good nip and they'll learn to appreciate the beak. Now they play together and tolerate one another. | |

In our situation is a bit different. The bf's dog was raised with birds, so she will never hurt one. She is old dog. Lucky was raised with dogs around too. When his cage was open, they was coming and stealing peanuts dropped by him on the bottom.(I saw it at his previous place) Chico on the other hand... She was hand feed, raised from the baby/chick age by us and she is absolutely fearless. She was messing around with my bf's dog, and when dog wasn't reacting Chico done more and more and one day dog finally scared her. It wasn't even bite, just normal showing what she can do. Since then Chico is not that fearless with dog In Poland , for a short moment I lived with my father, who had Chow Chow and Persian cat at that moment. I had a little "many breed" dog, who was raised since little baby/puppy with them. And yes, he learn to jump like a cat and it was really comical. Chow Chow (female) was protecting him like her own son. After Chico sickness I see how they are really close to each other. All birds was going nuts, yelling, weeweing to have her together, you name it. We had to keep eye on bf's dog, who wanted to lick Chico each time, the same dog. They do learn from each other a lot. Good luck with those 2 cuties! | |
