| So, things have changed again with the diet for the zons. One of the older rehomes (Kong) has Vit A and liver issues. So we're looking for a better diet for her and the rest of the flock. I think we're doing away with all seeds and peanuts except for the hemp and milk thistle seeds. Don't need a lot,a tsp a day . Buying by the 5 lb bag cost about 3.00 a lb for organic hemp and 12 for milk thistle . Pricier than pellets , but we're gonna get it a try. What do you think. | |

| Yes dusty, we still feed veggies/fruit and pellets. The hemp and milk thistle are something new for us. The zons go crazy for them but milk thistle is the favorite. | |

| Milk Thistle is like 25 per lb at the health food store but you can find it online for about 12-13 per lb. Just need a tsp or so per week. | |

I need to research this, but have not thus far seen a lot of data. His blood work showed normal enzyme levels and his stargazing corrected after a month of milk thistle supplementation. I wouldn't say it's a cure, but it can help manage liver issues. | |
