Roz, I searched for a long time for a breeder in Alberta who specializes in budgies. Not many do! Then I found a woman who is just is a hobby-breeder and lives a couple of hours away. She's been great - making sure I found a good match, keeping in touch, using good quality pellets, issuing a hatch certificate, exchanging pictures and stories and letting me know when she has new clutches. When I was able to bring Sputnik home he was already trained to step up and was well-handled and so easy-going and comfortable with people. Of course I'm biased, but I think he's a one in a million little bird!

Thanks Margaret! I played with a lot of different names before settling on Sputnik. I never thought he'd be able to say it though because it is a difficult word, but he's mastered it! : )
