And who says that old birds can't learn to talk!
I came home from work tonight, went into the bird room, said hi to Charlie, and he responded with a very clear GOOD BIRD. I nearly died of excitement! He's never really shown any signs of wanting to talk. And him being over 15, I figured he'd never really pick it up. He isn't even that vocal of a bird.
I took him out, and I gave him the biggest birdie hug. I placed him down, and went to take the rest of the birds out, and then he flew straight onto my shoulder. Which is another mini-accomplishment, as he is a terrible flyer. For him to fly and aim and land was a big deal.
And this all happened on mothers day
Here's a recent video of Einstein and Charlie:

That's great news Zaza! It's awesome when they just pick stuff up on their own! What a great Mother's day present!
