New Budgie Soon!

I've decided that I want to bring in another male for Bonnie. She really seems lonely, not having a mate of her own. 

I don't want to buy another budgie from Petsmart, because I don't feel comfortable buying into their bird farms (though I have gotten all my budgies from Petsmart). I've been keeping watch in the local classifieds looking for budgies to be rehomed. There has been none. I live in a small city in the middle of nowhere, so there isn't very many bird posts. 

There is a bird breeder in Southern Ontario that breeds hand tame and 'wild' english and regular budgies. I have contacted them, and they are willing to ship to here to Thunder Bay, which would cost me about 100$. They don't have any babies available right now, but they said they should be expecting eggs very soon.

That's cool, good for you!  We had a great budgie here that was available for adoption, the most hand-tamed budgie I have ever seen!  Too far to send your way though, especially in winter.

In all the big cities the classifieds are filled with budgies looking for new homes. I'd gladly take one in - but there's none here!
