I entered my picture of JJ in todays contest. I've never entered any of my photos in a contest before, but I went from 275th to 43rd pretty fast! LOL! Anyway, if you'd take a minute and vote for my picture, JJ and I would really appreciate it!

I voted for it - marked it as a 1. Found the composition a bit boring... JUST KIDDING! Composition was just the first word I thought of to sound critique-y. The pic's so cute, how could I not give it a 5? And 'sides, you and JJ are the home team. Good luck!

It was pretty funny this morning. When I saw the topic of the contest, my mind went immediately to her and how she goes diving for pellets in the jar when I'm setting them up for the evening. I thought, that'll be a no-brainer! I'll just open the jar and start snapping! Well, wouldn't you know that today is the day she's completely uninterested in them! I had to bribe her with mangos to get her down in there!

16th!!!! Her tail is the coolest - it's so pretty all fanned out like that!!

But I have a question: If the challenge criteria for the contest is to share a photo where the subject is half hidden or half showing, do you think I met the criteria? Somebody made a comment saying, "this isn't half."

I suppose technically it's her back half, but I don't think that's what they were looking for.

So honest opinions from my friends here - do you all think I really met the criteria or not?

YES... I'm still trying to figure out how the picture that's in first place meets the half criteria Or the foot one? Or people on a bridge?? Yours is great!!!

I think you did. Half in/half out of the jar - I think it's a bit of an unexpected interpretation of the "Half showing" requirement, but they did ask entries to be creative and so I feel you did meet the requirement. And it's a lot more creative than a portrait cut in half.

9th place overall. Out of 348 entries that's certainly not a bad placing.
