| Ok, so for those of you who may have seen any of my "I used to live in a zoo" posts, the 8 or 9 months before getting Yoshi were really hard because it was the first time in my life I'd lived in a house where humans weren't outnumbered by animals by at least 5 to 1. SO... after months of pining over petsmart commercials and almost throwing myself from a moving vehicle when I'd see people out walking their dogs, I got my animal. And he's wonderful and I LOVE him. I miss fur too, though, and these guys are just so freakin' cute... I know a lot of people get the creeps with rats, but I've had one before and they're the sweetest little animals ever. I know I don't have the space for one, and Nate would probably kill me if I asked for another animal, but I can pout over pictures Thanks for listening to me whine | |

| I think rats and mice are the most adorable things ever. I just don't like cleaning up after them. | |

| No space for a pet rat?! How is that?! I love rats. My hubby had the hebejeebies from rodents. He still doesn't like them, but he's hates them a little less after I showed him that pet rats were a lot like puppies.
Kaela - They can be potty trained! My first two used a little box filled w/ kitty litter.

| Awww, I have to admit, I haven't made any mention of a rat to mine, either... I'm not sure if he'd think it was cool or be grossed out. What kind of rat did he see, though?? The solid black and white rats aren't my favorite, but if you get the hooded fancy rats or any that are beige, grey or fancy I think they're adorable. I actually think the hairless dumbo rats are cute, too... | |

| Back to the title of this topic:"Animal addiction", what is it with all the people, who love animals, that they have to have some pet at home. I was raised with pets at home, so when I find out myself in here and I knew I couldn't have a dog(long working hours before), I felt like missing something. So one day I brought home Kubus-the bunny. Sometimes I think it's the best addiction in the world, loving animals | |

| I LOVE rats. Their intelligence is astounding.
They're so cuddly and cute.
My mom has it in her mind that rodents are "dirty" and "smelly". I was never allowed hamsters or guinea pigs like all the other kids.

| I had two fancy tail rats a few years ago!!! Templeton and Napoleon. They were awesome but I admit kind of stinky. I love critters. |

| aww, I want something furry too! my mom's allergic to all things furry though so I have to stick to feathers. not that I'm complaining!! birds are the greatest and rainbow is as snuggly as they get Still, if it was up to me I'd be up to my ears in animals... - GlassOnion wrote:

ha, don't show him a hairless rat then. My friend has one and it has the "it's so ugly it's kinda cute" thing going on. She's really smart though and follows them around the house

They're only teacup when they're piglets...they grow into pot bellied pigs.

| Dog in the future, German Shepperd is my choice, but my other half prefer smaller breeds. I'm flexible with that one, we can take a "many breeds" dog or more than one dog and I'll be in heaven. It's open subject between us | |

| I had a puppy named Billi. It makes my heart wrench whenever I think about him. I think I might even sacrifice birdkeeping if I could have another Billi. | |

| *GASP* Anita you almost made me cry... This is my Gunnar baby that I had to leave at home I've had a lot of dogs, and I'm convinced the GSP is just... the best one there is. Obviously I'm biased, but I don't think I'll ever go without one again once I move home. Your Billi was BEAUTIFUL | |
