Would you like to see individual sections for each species? For example, one for conures, another for cockatoos, etc. | Yes | | 31% | [ 4 ] | No | | 69% | [ 9 ] |

| Actually, I don't think I want to see more sections in general. IMO too many sections in a forum leads to too many posts winding up in the wrong place anyway. Even now on this forum, I mostly wind up using "new since last visit" because there are a lot of sections to go through.
Also, so much is common to most of our birds... when I see species specific sections on other forums, often the topics hidden in there are really of general interest.
A compromise might be to have one section for nominally species-specific topics, where it would be segregated on a thread by thread basis.

| I kind of agree with this. While looking through other places, I like the idea of species specific sections, but not so much the end result. | |

| I didn't vote but maybe a members list by species ,so a newbie might be able to ask another member by PM. | |

| That's an excellent idea. Do we have a "Welcome Letter" for new members that goes out automatically? If so, links to some of those quick reference areas might be a good thing to include in it. | |

| Ya know... I was just thinking... rather than have a list of members by species, why not have Member Groups by species? For example,
Conure Group Amazon Group Cockatoo Group Macaw Group Lovebird Group
It could even be broken down further if we want. The groups could be set up as self-joining or set-up so they have to be added by an admin. (I'd suggest self-joining myself). Then if someone wants to ask a question of everyone who has an Amazon, they'd just email it to the Amazon group.
That way, only people who self-select into the group get the emails, and the person who sends the email isn't dependent on one person (who may be on vacation?) to get back with them.
...Just a thought.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page. In the legend, there's groups for specific bird species. Join one, and you get a color.

| Members of each specific group can mass PM members of the same group for species related questions if need be. | |
