Know of a good used one cheap? Is there like a battery powered one? Hey Roz ,got one laying around? What are they worth?I try hard to learn as much as i can about my birds but would hate to find out i'd bought a stolen or lost bird, I can see myself checking on new birds before i buy.

There's multiple ones out there and one doesn't necessarily read all the chips. Maybe suck up to a vet or schmooze animal control to be able to bring a bird by and get it scanned?

San Diego county's only just maybe in the last year gotten all the chip readers.
