| Tonight all fids gone nuts. Something must scared them. All of them start flying crazy in their cages. Nothing happened to budgies, nothing to Lucky, but poor Chico start bleeding from her feet. I took her immediately, put flour on the bleeding place and calmed her down. Her crest was long time up- poor Chico As a result of bleeding, she has her wings colored. Should I washed it with something or leave it like that, and she'll clean herself from blood? I'm watching her, she is walking normal. | |

| Yikes! That is crazy - that happens with a lot of animals I feel. People yell at their pets because they're going nuts when really they just have a sixth sense about this stuff. If you were able to stop Chico's bleeding and they were only surface scratches she should be okay, though I might try to wash her off so as not to encourage her to try and get it off herself. If she won't tolerate a misting maybe hold her close to you and just slowly see if she'll let you "pet" her with a warm wet washcloth. I'm sure others will have better and more advice - glad everyone's okay!! | |

| Did it happen after dark? Do you cover the cages? Are the cages near each other? Did it ever happen before you got Chico? Is it cockatiel night frights?
The blood will eventually wear off by itself. But if it will make you feel better Lyz's suggestion to "pet" her with a wet wash cloth is a good idea. | |

| It happened 3rd time or so, since I have birds at all. It was at night, dark. I keep a little plug-in light, because of Chico. Usually what happens is one of budgies moves and they got crazy flying inside of their cage and woke up everybody else. No, I don't cover cages anymore. Chico is cleaning herself now, if she won't take the bloody "patches" by herself, I'll do it later. Thanks! | |
