Well, it was a very long day today but we got a lot done. Didn't start too well, Home Depot dropped off the wrong size insulation and we had the wrong size staples for the guns and.... well... it was a long day.

Here's a pic of one of the main rooms, where the small birds will be housed, prior to our work this morning:

After we got our crap together, we managed to get all the insulations in:

Of course, there were some moments of delirium and we ended up having a baby powder fight.... this is Jason, one of our volunteers and John, one of the owners of the rescue:

Bryan got it the worst, LOL:

Up again tomorrow early to start the dry walling. Should be another fun day. Smile

I have to say I'm almost a little bit envious of you! It's a bunch of hard work, but look at the rewards! Y'all got a LOT DONE!

And I just read what you said about y'all's adoption fees/policies (kind-of) are. I'm impressed. It makes me want to come out there and adopt one of your birds - just for the vacation, the new bird, the chance to meet a friend, and opportunity to make a new life all at once!

Y'all hang in there... I'm thinking of you!

Sister, if I could, I would!

I said the same thing to SnS!

If I had unlimited funds, I'd be all OVER the place!!

Snap, snap! The faster it's done, the closer the 'toos are to me, the easier I can plot to birdnap them!

Just kidding!

In all seriousness, you guys seem to be making a lot of progress. Should be done in no time!

Another long, hot day but 90% of the insulation is done, I think we only have a few ceilings left. Dry walled the kitchen, visitors area and small bird room and have started the bathroom and the cockatoo room. Couldn't do much more in the cockatoo room or macaw room as they need to have windows installed this week before we can finish. John took the week off and he and Bryan are going to try to knock out as much as they can. Wish I had time left at work to take off, but I don't....and I can barely walk anyway, I am so sore.

Here's a pic of the small bird room looking toward the kitchen, which is the same area I posted yesterday with all the insulation...
