| I've contacted a list of companies about food samples for my birds. While many said no, some did offer coupons. The ones that did send samples were more than generous.
Here are the companies I've contacted about samples: Harrison's Lafeber Pretty Bird Goldenfeast Dr. Harvey ZuPreem Volkman Roudybush Hagen Higgin's TOP Crazy Corn 8 in 1 Noah's Kingdom Oven Fresh Bites Kaytee FM Brown Ziegler Bros. Inc. Avian Naturals China Prairie
Who Said Yes:
Lafeber (with a $4.99 fee per pack) - I got one for both my budgies and my conure. Included are Nutriberries, Avi-Cakes, Nutri-Meal and their pelleted diet.
Harrison's (no fee) - they're sending a sample of high potency fine and high potency super fine.
Oven Fresh Bites (no fee) - they're sending a sample of their Medium sized bites.
Hagen (no fee)
Roudybush (no fee) - they didn't reply with an email or phone call, but they did send very generous samples. I got two 8oz. bag of crumble sized and two 8oz. bag of mini sized pellets.
China Prairie (no fee) - foods need to be sprouted, but they do send samples.
Who Said No: Pretty Bird Goldenfeast - emails coupons for use online and in stores. Dr. Harvey TOP 8 in 1 Kaytee - sends coupons. ZuPreem - gives you a link to coupons.
Who Hasn't Replied: Volkman Higgin's Crazy Corn Noah's Kingdom FM Brown Ziegler Bros. Inc. Avian Naturals

I'm all over this. China Prairie just responded today, so I'll have to see how they go. My birds didn't really like the Lafeber stuff, though Cheney Bird did try some of the avi cake. My refrigerator is hilarious. I have 20lbs of Zupreem Avian Naturals Cockatiel sized pellets, 15lbs of Alta Loma Seed Co. custom seed blend, and a ton of samples. For myself? I have some lettuce, 16 bean soup, and tortillas.

| Does Cheney eat fresh fruit? I can't get either of mine to take it. Juniper will fling it off her beak and the lovebird looks at me like, I don't think so Scooter. |

He'll eat mango, apples and bananas. That's about it. I have a hard time getting him to eat fresh anything, though. He goes nuts with the mangos and apples. The budgies? Yeah, okay. They'd starve before they tried something fresh.

| Most websites list contact information on the website. Some, like Roudybush, have an online contact form. The basics of what I said was:
My birds, (species) and (species), are currently eating (brand) (mix name). I'm interested in trying your products and was wondering if you offered samples?
Some of the ones that don't offer samples do offer coupons. Others may not reply with any email, but some do send something. Roudybush didn't reply but they sent two 8 oz. bags of crumble size pellets and two 8 oz. bags of mini pellets.
