So I was scanning the local ads for any deals, and I came upon this. The ad is pretty old, and the person says he is moving out of the province...but why not try. I couldn't even pay full price, the highest I could do is 200...

That's a pretty nice stand. Would you have to freight it? I'd offer 200 for it, can't be much demand, what's you got to lose? Do you have a place to put it ? That thing's pretty big.

I've been posting wanted ads on CL and Kijiji for a tree stand, and no one wants to sell theirs Sad

So I think I'm gonna buy a Grapevine gym from Exotic Wood Dreams.

Check http://www.mysafebirdstore.com/cart.cgi?group=0&child=2726 because they currently offer FREE shipping and there are trees for as low as $58.

There's a shipping calculator, and it said "limited time free shipping" for me. I also know someone on Vancouver Island who got a tree shipped for free recently.

The person emailed me back...385$ is the lowest they would go, which honestly is really reasonable, considering it was bought for 1000$.

It would take up a lot of space, there is room for it, but it would clutter up my living space. Plus, that amount is over my spending budget.

Glassonion, it says I would get free shipping too.

I just hate passing up a good deal...

I emailed them, and they said that it is not free shipping in Canada. Though someone could ship it somewhere in the US and pick it up from there.

That's strange, maybe the lady on the island got it for free because she ordered a much larger tree.

Is there any way you could work on a payment plan? suspect

That's a really big tree... It may not even have enough smaller branches for little feet. I bet you will be happier waiting for something the right size and price to come along.

Beautiful Stand! And parrot Smile

It does look a bit daunting ...you may be better off waiting until you can find a better deal...although $385 for a Java stand IS pretty good, pending it's in good condition.

This is OT, but for some reason, Crystal, your posts always come in tiny font, with an extra set of 9-point font tags on it. I find the tiny font almost impossible to read. Any way you can change that up?

thats a good price, but you'll get screwed with the shipping. Plus, there's no way it was $1000. They sell for about $650 new. We have maybe 4 or 5 at the rescue and we find them on Craigs List all the time. Check there first. This one sounds a little scammy to me....
