Almost done with construction of the new playroom, thought we'd break it in with a flock of toos. We all had a blast!

I wish I lived near your rescue.

I swear, I'd be there every day.

Do you get many budgies and cockatiels?

We have a flight full of tiels, probably about 30 or so. We have a bunch of budgies in a big flight cage as well. I will have to take some pictures for you. Cute little buggers. they always swarm me when I feed them. Smile

It is fun but it is also a lot of work and sometimes a lot of pain (as made evident by the numerous scars on my hands and arms...LOL) but it very rewarding and when you hold any of them you can see that they appreciate the love offered and return it eagerly.

That would be crazy room to be in. The rescue would be a great place to visit and help out, but I don't know if I could do it on a regular basis. Kudos to you Vikki and your cohorts for the work that you and all rescue workers do!

It was crazy but definitely fun. I got a good bite when we were wrangling them to put them all back. And fun as it is, it is never ending work and its usually pretty thankless. I don't know how jeanne does it every day. You have to love it. I help out as much as possible but I have to step back pretty often to avoid burn out.

oh my gosh those toos look like dinos Shocked I want to come play!! somebody has to teach me how to read cockatoo body language though. it still stumps me (I guess I just need to play with them more to remedy that..).

being swarmed by budgies sounds way too adorable though. cute lil buggers...
