| Before it was...Mango, the first budgie. Now Chico('Tiel) became boss, even bossing around Lucky(Amazon)--> with one exception: my bf's arm is for Lucky, she knows that. Otherwise she can eat/drink from everybody's dish...including ours: humans At least we know, that she treats us as part of her flock too. I wonder, who is flock leader in your homes... | |

| With Arthur still in quarantine I don't know the answer to this question for certain, but I suspect given the size of his attitude, Merlin will be in charge here. | |

| Well, there's different dynamics in my little flock.
Including me, I'm the leader. Everyone listens to me. None of the birds have shown aggression towards me. But then again, who has heard of aggressive cockatiels and budgies?
Excluding me, Bonnie. Bonnie is the head honcho in bird world. All the toys, all the cages, all the food is hers. She allows her minion (Clyde) to have his share, only after she is satisfied.
At the bottom is poor little Einstein. He's got absolutely no back bone.
Can't wait to see what happens when Madoc joins them.

| They all have their moments but the smaller ones have huge Napoleon complexes. Pickle is the worst. He's got the attitude of a hyacinth in that little green body. | |

| If you include me, I'm probably the "it."
Between the two birds, Buck rules the roost... Probably cause he's got the bigger beak!

| Well Yoshi's the only bird, but even with birds AND humans I'm the boss. Comes with the territory of being the only one in the house with an income | |

| Beats me. No one's allowed to fight so I don't think there's any actual real dominance. Some are tolerant of others cruising bowls and some aren't. There's definitely some sort of "dynamic", but I can't really pinpoint "who's in charge". I think part of it is because I have so many "new" (babies) birds coming and going that there's no real flock structure ever in place. Xavier the IRN is incredibly tolerant for a IRN, but every once in a while I catch him losing his mind and fighting with someone through the bars. I will say he is for all intents and purposes "cage free" and he gets in a mood where he goes and hangs on a cage and terrorizes the occupants and I have to go stop him. I still don't consider that making him "flock leader". And I definitely don't allow any territorial/jealousy displays when there are multiple birds on my body. I just don't want to get chunked! | |

| Is it just me, or is it that the smaller the bird, the more feisty? | |
