| This was a suggestion from VickiNumbers. Essentially, everyone who wants to participate would contribute their favorite human and favorite parrot recipes. Books could be made hardcover or paperback, black and white or color, with pictures or without. Cost per book would be dependant on how many people were interested in purchasing a book plus a dollar or two for a rescue organization. Money from the sale of the books would be donated to a bird rescue of the forum's choice.
This would not probably be occuring until the PLP 1 year anniversary in May, with Vicki deciding on when submissions will start should there be enough interest.

| That sounds so cute!
Would it be recipes that people and birds can both have? Or separate recipes for birds and people?

Would it be recipes that people and birds can both have? Or separate recipes for birds and people? Probably a combination of both. I think a lot of us here tend to cook stuff for ourselves that our birds can also eat.

| Sure why not? I don't have much to contribute, as I don't bake much for my birds as yet, but I would love some recipes. May have one or two things for people. | |

| OOPS! I was supposed to post that poll, but life has been conspiring against my being online for the past few days. What I had in mind were both kinds of recipes - some for birds, some for people, and some for people AND birds - cause I know we all like to share meals with our fids now and again, right? We could augment the cookbook with some of our stories about "life with birds" and an educational article or two (anyone know anything about bird nutrition?). Options for binding and publishing are numerous and don't have to be decided now, but can range from doing it entirely ourselves (myself?) to having it done entirely by someone else. The cost and quality will obviously fluctuate with whatever choices we make. As always, the more recipes we have the better cookbook we turn out, so everyone, start looking for something to contribute! | |

| Should we start a place to post recipes? maybe we could try them out ourselves . PDB or Deb might do one on sprouting. | |
