Eric's growing up!

You know how I can tell? He's heavy now. A while ago he was too little to mash all the buttons of my keyboard in. Now he walks across the buttons and sends my screen reeling, and tried to delete an entire email I wrote by standing on the Backspace button. And he's taken like 3 screen shots just this morning, and yells at my hand whenever I go near the mouse

Ah, uh-huh, and the numbers, slash and d were all his additions. I'd put him back on his cage but he keeps looking at me and going "ERIC!" in SUCH a cute way. Adorable little trouble-maker.

That's all, just wanted to share with people who understand my exasperation.

The erasing thing can get really irksome!

I tell Jake "your going to get in trouble" but she usually goes right ahead.

Totally get it. It's not as much of a problem for me because I'm militant about not letting the girls on my computer. I had JJ trained pretty well for the most part... She stayed off the keyboard part and would only perch on the back of the monitor. As far as I was concerned, that was just fine. Now though, I've got two new ones to train. Uggh.

That right there is why I posted this here rather than whined to my friend. You guys get it.

Non-parrot people really DONT get it. It's hardly even worth it keeping them around as friends.

OK. Not really. But there are some things that it's not even worth trying to tell them because it takes more time trying to explain why it's significant than it's worth! (Like being able to tell that your bird is getting bigger because he's messing up your email!)

I DO!! That's why I prefer pushy, snotty animals better. It's easier for me to put on my "I'm-in-charge hat".
