Sooooo Happy new year everyone!
Last night to spend new years me and the Mr went to a Greek restaurant to eat and circle dance:) awesome night. And he taught me about a new song! and I've decided it's my new theme song parrot song. So to those of you who like a little bit of Greek music....
Here is O papagalos by Lefteris Pantazis dedicated to all of you! May it be a fantastic year and that all all your dreams come true!
I loved your video, and the song is great! It has a wonderful rhythm that made me want to get up and dance in my living room! LOL! If I had any idea what it meant, I might even enjoy it more!
Ohhh.... to be fluent in more than one language..

Last night I went out for Lebanese at my favorite restaurant here in the city. I had some delicious Shish taouk (which tasted like Heaven btw) and watched an arabic New Years celebration on their tv. They had singers, and it all sounded so beautiful. But, I had no idea what they were saying.
I just sat there wishing I was Lebanese.

yes I know what you mean!I'm constantly obsessed with foreign songs trying to find out what's going on with them. So yes this song, I managed to get my boyfriend who knows a little bit of Greek to translate it. haha we were on a mission last night to crack this song. The story is so hilarious but due to it about a parrot I just like it!
A very rough translation of the Lyrics :
We woke together in my house Knowing how much in love we are But we forgot that we have someone else in the house----the parrot
The parrot told me he saw you with another man, he told me that this man kissed you
*chorus* He told me, he told me....the parrot told me He says you love others but forget that he's here He told me, he told me....the parrot told me
and the song goes on hahaha a love song with a parrot, how awesome!

ooh did you belly dance? We were very close to go to a Lebanese place too! I love culture from other countries. here in the UK-- the British have no proper culture (so I say at least) and I miss the swiss-german culture or even the southafrican culture I grew up with and my boyfriend misses his albanian culture so we are always looking for more interesting places to hang out in hehe.

Haha, last night, I put on some feminist music, got on top of the chair, and started doing my own version of belly dancing with the birds. It was nighttime, and the window in that room has no blinds, so I sure gave the neighbors one hell of a show!

hahahahaha yes the things our birds can see which nobody else dares. I think Lorenzo wishes he could forget what goes on in this room!
