title says it all. mikko and marty like to rip up my books and the news paper they can pull out for lining their cages so i figured why not make something thats actually meant for them to destroy, but in a birds mind that wouldnt be as much fun. think it would be okay if i ripped the cover and back off a book that it would be okay?

I just read on another forum where a lady gave her 'zon the Houston yellow pages on a chain! What a GREAT way to recycle phone books! LOLOL!

try a roll of adding machine paper, just put a tie strap through it and attach to the side of the cage

We do the yellow pages and adding machine tapes with our rescue birds. They love them. Another thing they love is just getting a big empty cardboard box and throwing it in their cage. Sometimes we stuff them with newspaper. All the birds love boxes. Even the little birds, you can give them a small box to play in. As long as its enclosed with an opening enough to get in, they love it, will play in it, then they will chew the crap out of it and destroy it and then you just replace it. VERY cheap toy

Scooter LOVES Kleenex boxes. With or without Kleenex in them. I'm careful not to get any of the newfangled ones with lotion etc if I think he'll have acess. In fact I tend to get the all-natural-ones because he will chew up the box.

Net with small eyes, inside wood and around wood paper shredded in the machine, Mickey was going nuts until she got to wood. A lot of mess and fun!

lol marty pretty much only likes wooden toys to destroy besides my stuff.. he destroyed my silicone phone case lol and he will also run over while im reading and bite my book
