That moment when you realize...

That no matter how much money you spend on a playground for your birds, you will always be the best toy.

All tonight, I've had budgies flying from the bird room, into my room, and land on my bed. They scurry off, and in no time at all they are back.

It's actually very sweet. The flutter of wings, the chitter and chatter, and the little tiny bird feet climbing all over my body.

I love my little budgies!

I can't listen to Piper fly around without thinking of sweetpea's imitation of his wing flapping and laughing hysterically.

Jealousy. I usually get screamed at, followed by a Poe careening straight for my face. Nothing so lovely and peaceful as chitter chatter and scampering little feet...

Monday as we were laying in bed, Piper decided he would be speedracer and fly around the room a billion times. This prompted the boy to imitate the sound (sounded kinda like a machine gun imitation). Now as Piper has been flying back and forth to the bed all day, I laugh hysterically at the sound.

Guess you had to be there.

Actually Scooter spent a bunch of time on me getting attention and then decided he wanted to be on his new playgym and climbed there from on my desk where he could have been getting into things he shouldn't have! I was duly impressed!

Wow, way to go Scooter!

And *sigh* budgies. I fall more in love with them every day.
