| This sound familar? i think he found my amazon social group on another forum,Keala your welcome to join if you wish,LOL
Hello to all my fellow Amazonian parronts!
I must say that it wasn't TOO much of a surprise to find that the most active, talkative and sociable group on Parrot Forums belongs to the.....AMAZONS!
YAY!!!
If the African Greys tried to start a group like this, they might get the numbers, but they'd probably all just sit there, too timid to post anything. They'd probably have one discussion topic with the title, "Introduce Yourself" and get 100 views but maybe one reply every 6 months.

(I'm just kidding...but I do resent all the experts saying that African Greys are the no. 1 talkers with the Amazons always coming in at 2nd place...we really need to do something about this, don't we?!?)
Anyway, I am now 43 years old, although I think I am still very mentally immature. I live in Sydney, Australia. I have just moved to a new house which is a lot more practical in terms of shopping and entertainment and transport (and work - when I DO decide to go to work), but which is MUCH less prestigious in terms of snob value compared to my old address (which had views over Sydney Harbour and the Pacific Ocean).
I have 3 pet parrots - Coriander (my male Double Yellow Headed Amazon), Ginger (my female Double Yellow Headed Amazon) and Chilli (my Scarlet Macaw). The 3 parrots had to board at my avian vet's clinic for a few months while I was moving house, but they have now moved into the new house with me.

Apart from the parrots, I also keep koi. I am building a huge koi pond for them next to the back patio. The koi pond will have a huge glass wall on one side, so that I can watch the koi while I'm on the sun lounge, sipping chilled 1967 Chateau d'Yquem and munching on foie gras. Don't worry, I won't let the parrots know where foie gras actually comes from...
The koi pond will be surrounded by vertical wall gardens where I will grow my miltoniopsis and oncidium orchids amongst neoregelia, vriesia and tillandsia bromeliads, various ferns and (Australian) native violets.

I will be enclosing the patio area in bird wire, so that the parrots can come outside to fly and play (under supervision). They are NOT allowed near the chilled 1990 Louis Roederer Cristal, although if they want, they can have a couple of Oysters Czarina (freshly shucked oysters with Beluga caviar).
Anyway, enough about me...
When and how are we going to knock the African Greys off their "Number One Best Talking Bird" spot?
Cheers, Enjru

| I really do not like seeing the headline "Kaela's Stalker". Given everything that's currently going on, which some of you know about and others don't, a forum topic like that is prone to make me have a panic attack.
So, which "stalker" are we talking about?

Given my current situation, this headline kind of (read: really really really) freaked me out this morning. But if it's just lutino, whatever.

| Probably a good idea to change it. I don't what's happening for you right now Kaela, but that guy (was that on the other forum?) was seriously creepy. Hope this is not the same guy. | |
