| Thanks! And there are not loud! So here the story goes; You may remember my list of dream birds, if not--> Linnies was there. And then life make me go to AA and read that one: Linnies for rehomeAnd I don't know why I checked that I have ONLY a bit over 60 miles driving there and contacted that person... And next she sent me e-mail with pictures... And the next thing I know I was in my car with 3 little funny and sooo cute Linnies... 3 is not a good number, so Jennifer (the owner of TNT Bird Toys will get Charlie, the not bonded one and the youngest) So update with fids: At that moment I have 10 feathered Monsters: In the living room:Lucky - 'zon - cage Chico & Mickey - 'tiels - aviary Mango & Sunny, Blueberry & Plum -'kits -aviary In my(my, really? ) bedroom:Charlie -lineolated temporary in separate cage waiting for Jen to come and take him(he was bullying the female linnie) Venus & Mars - bonded linnies in the other cage So far: Linnies are quiet birds, and very comical. There is no way they can wake me up, they sleep upside down and learning to chew toys - I assume they didn't have toys in the previous home. They also learning how to live in a bit bigger cage they have had before and eat veggies and fruits and pellets. I know I'm not absolutely sane. On the other hand I know I'm in good neighborhood here | |

| Too funny! I don't know how you keep up with that flock, though! I already feel I don't have enough time for the 3 "monsters" we have! | |

| I don't know where you find the time Margaret, but good for you! I can barely keep up with my two! They look very cute!
How are they outside the cage (how tame are they)?

| No time for myself at all!! (sometimes it's better)
Linnies are absolutely not tamed, only Charlie came to me with his name. The bonded couple wasn't even named!! When I hear those little Marsian like- noises, I gave them: Mars and Venus.
Can't wait for meeting Jennifer she has only large size parrots and ... 9 linnies- Charlie will be the 10th of them!

| I've met Jennifer - she's a HOOT! I never found Linnies to be very noisy - always a good thing Good luck with your Charlie transition - I'm sure he'll be just fine in Jennifer's hands She'll even have to make him his own Motherlode! Those things are crazy! I think with big flocks, as long as you can have certain ones out together, it's much more manageable. | |

Can you imagine THAT Charlie is with Jenn and her flock now and we have toys for "mouses" that Jen gave us

| Linnies are together in aviary with 'tiels and budgies. They are watching other birds and learning from them to chew toys - they didn't show much interest about toys before. Jenn was right saying, that Lineolated parakeets may be perfect small birds: quiet, very social and flock birds, sleeping together. Venus felt in love in ... Mango(the budgie), and I have triangle now and Mars loves to run and hide in places when I can't reach him, i.e.: under refrigerator. Venus(after half year with us) is making (as for a linnie) "loud" contact call when I'm coming from work. That call is so funny, I have to record it one day. The toy which would last for budgie 1 week, for linnie will be enough for 1 year Linnies hate to fly, they prefer to walk all the way around aviary, than fly. Good that they have feathers so I know they are really birds! They are really funny birds! | |
