Checking In

Well, Bryan and I moved to the new location over the weekend and are currently living amongst boxes and frazzled pets. John, Jeanne and the rescue birds probably won't be coming for another month or so. They are in the process of gutting and rebuilding the main garage and shop and setting it up as the new rescue and that will take a couple of weeks (hopefully not much more than that) and it will take a while for things to settle down.

We do not have cable at the new place. As it stands, the property was pretty much off the grid and only the post office knew where we were. Took three days for the electric company to find the house. (Yeah...we're talking boonies) Apparently there is no cable service at all on our street and we're trying not to settle for dish (ugh) so John has been diligently searching for other options aside from having the local cable company trench us a new line which would be $$$$ and take anywhere from three months to a year. So for now, I have to check mail on my phone and write posts at work. I may opt for a mifi until we get things straightened out.

But for now, we are in and tired and sore, but happy to be at the new place. Will post pics as I get them taken.
