dusty You have enough birds that you can sneak another one in. By the time she notices you just say, "That one? I've had him awhile, honey." She'll blame it on a senior moment and you'll have another bird.

It's a little harder to explain when you bring home a species my dad's never seen before in his life. Sugar gliders were hard to squeeze by him unnoticed.

But what's an itty bitty sugar glider in the grand scheme of things! My hubby doesn't even think twice now about anything that can be contained in an aquarium. It's more of a, "Huh, what's that?" p.s. I love your mom.

p.s. I love your mom. Haha, that's my dad. If he walked home and sees a new animal my mom brother and I get the sheepish "hiiiii, daaad" look and he just grins, shakes his head and walks away... I'm gonna try to get her on here. I just got home to PA this morning and she says her grey has been plucking his tail. He's on mostly a pelleted diet - my mom takes great care of animals and loves them all, but doesn't really have time to go a continually research optimal care conditions and nutrition. I'm gonna make some suggestions and hopefully get her here so she can ask questions and get in on the craziness. You'll like her

were the sugar gliders friendly? They will forever be furry little chainsaws to me cute though, very cute, just demonically so... oh how I wish my parents were the sort to bring home random animals.. my biological dad was, we had everything from goats that knew how to open the sliding screen doors to the little furry things that were prone to escaping and reappearing well and alive in strange places but my mom certainly isn't. We tried fish and then she decided pets weren't for our family.

| My mom hates everything with a face. So growing up, I never had many pets. All the normal kids had dogs or cats, but I had my cows. | |

Well, I am mostly shaping my life around the big ol' guy, so he fits just right! I am definitly not going to lead a normal life for a young person, but thats just fine and dandy with me! I've never been to good with normalcy anyway Its great so far(: I havent been able to spend much time with him because the movers just came and we have to unpack, plus the breeder is 30 mins away, and you have to pump your own gas here, which I am not used to! But I wish I could spend every miniute with him! Someone told me that when he goes into adolesence he will reject me cus he will be trying to find a mate I hope that doesnt happen! Im so nervous to be a big parrots mom though! I skipped from owning lovebirds to a big macaw! Thats quite a leap! Ah so nervous.
