Okay, so I'm at work.

My family has gone camping for the weekend in the States, and my step dad decides I'll stay open an hour later than usual.

I don't drive. Mike, my step dad has an assistant named Stu.

When Mike isn't at work, he can't drive me home, so Stu is told to drive me home.

And like I said before, they are camping. So, Stu has to drive me home.

My parents own a Transport company. And right now, we have a brand new Mechanic, and one of the trucks is broken. Stu is the only one who knows how to close shop and set the alarm in the shop.

That broken truck needs a new part. No one can find that part.

So now I'm stuck with 6+ sweaty men for the next few hours.

To make things worse, I was throwing something in the dumpster, and I over heard Stu talking:

"You know Alyssa, Mike's daughter? She doesn't have a car or license, she doesn't even know how to drive! So now I have to drive her everywhere".

I walked up to him, and asked him if he was talking about me. His face went red and started to joke.

If he doesn't like his stupid job, he can quit.

Anyways, what makes this whole ordeal worse is, I forgot my house key. There is no way for me to get inside.

I called my parents.

"We think the neighbor has a key".

If they don't, I really have no where to go.

It doesn't pay to be a paranoid shut in.

Worst case scenario, break a window and get inside.

Do you have a debit card or credit card you can break in with?

Update!

So, when Stu dropped me off, I went to my 85 year old neighbors house. She answered the door in her nightie, I felt AWFUL for waking her.

She went ahead and gave me every key which she didn't know where they belonged. None of them worked. I swear, I thought I was going to cry. I was so stressed out.

I found a phone book, and called up the town locksmith. Lucky for me, he is a good family friend of my neighbor, so he came right away.

"It'll take a few moments".

I'm not sure if any of you know this, but there's a severe storm warning here in eastern Ontario.

For over two hours I sat waiting for the door to get picked, during a non-stop thunderstorm.

He ended up having to destroy the lock to get in.

Now, I'm waiting downstairs for him to rebuild the lock. Who knows how long that will take.

At least I'm getting a discount.

It'll cost me about how much I made in tips this week. I was PLANNING on spending that money on some bulk bird food, but I guess that will just have to wait. At least I'm in my warm house.

Today's just been an icky day.

But want to know what made it the worst?

Last night I had a dream I had Crystal (Crystal's bird toys) at my house. She had a meeting with my parents or something. Anyways, I went into my room to see Einstein, and his feet started to bleed. Like gushing. SO I went up to Crystal and asked what to do. She said to do nothing, and he bled to death. When I woke up I had to inspect everyone's feet. Sad

A locksmith costs less than a new window anyway... I've locked myself out and called locksmith before. As long as you haven't also locked all your ID in, it's usually not such a big deal. Anyway, I'm glad you got back in!!!

I feel your pain! I locked my keys in the car today. There's something wrong with "today".

You need a hot bubble bath.

That's what I get for saying I'll trade toys for Poutine?!?

WT?

I'd totally be like Einstein's ER nurse and cauterize the bleeding and save the day Smile So that was a nightmare not a dream Wink

I'm really good under pressure - no one listen to Zaza!

I have a feeling it will be.

I got to sleep in, I have the house to myself, and I have a new book to read.
