| Aw, I love little green cheek faces. Even when they're obnoxious, they're cute.
That new diet is working well, then?

| Something is. Whether its the avian rain, the putting him to bed at 6 every night, the apple cider vinegar, the low-fruit-diet, or the high vitamin A diet, I don't know....but something is working, thats all that matters. | |

| I just saw that you feed him the colored pellets. Have you thought about switching him to the natural colored? I'm not sure if it's the same in parrots, but added dyes can do some really strange things to human digestive systems.
I don't have anything against the colored pellets. Except that the birds always pick out the red ones and I end up thinking they've got blood in their stool.

| No, for now I"m keeping him on the coloured. Last I looked into it, it was 'naturally' coloured. I'll have a closer look at the bag though.
Anyway, he has been on this stuff since the day I got him without any problems. I figured trying to screw with that right now might cause him even more stress. It does make his poops entertaining though, lol. You can tell when he decides that it is a 'green pellet' or a 'red pellet' day. I've discovered a clinic in town that sells harrisons, so I'm going to look into the cost of that when he is better.
And thanks everybody! I'm so glad hes getting better...No more freaking out! Though if that brat decides to do this every year...

I have nothing against the colored ones. The budgies wouldn't eat them, but Cheney Bird came to me eating them. I was just getting too freaked out trying to figure out why his poop was all kinds of crazy colors. I decided to switch to the naturals and it took some work getting him switched, but now he seems fine with them.

| Pickle bird picks his feathers every year around march and this year was pretty bad but i found a humidifier, helped him a bit so i feel he has allergies. ecco being a rescue bird was missing a lot of feathers when he came to me and most will never grow back but he is happy and in the winter he wears a sweater. | |

I need to see a picture of this. LOL CONGRATS with Jack Feather picking is just too bad on cute little birdies. Aries is on the colored and starting to learn to associate the color word with the actual color....it's kinda cool. But yes...RAINBOW POOP!

| Yippee!!! That's great news! Bucky actually started plucking about a week - ten days ago. It's driving us a little crazy because every time he pulls one out he squawks really loud - so we ALL know every single time he pulls out a feather. We're not sure what's causing it, but we have our suspicions.... Regardless, hurray for Jack!!! | |
