The two reasons I wish I lived in the USA

1) Vanilla Coke

2) Trix

We can't get those here.

Luckily for me, I recently found a Facebook page where people literally AUCTION of foods that are not available in Canada. Because Winnipeg is so close to the border, it's fairly common for people to go to ND for a weekend. And they bring back delicious, delicious food.

Like Vanilla Coke. And Trix.

And what IS this Pepsi NEXT stuff?! Other than delicious?!

And Pumpkin Pie Pop Tarts?! HOLY CRAP!

Oh.... and all the Oreo flavours! Dear me, the OREO FLAVOURS!

It's time to invest in bigger pants....

I hope someone is bringing you some of those things.

Have a look at our presidential campaign, especially one candidate who recently had a tape made at a fundraiser released. That provides me with an infinite number of reasons I wish I lived in Canada! I so would trade Vanilla Coke and Oreos!

Bet you could talk a few folks into sending you care packages...

Get a can of coke and pour in a teaspoon of vanilla!

I ... Uh .... try to avoid your lovely country's politics. There's just too much fighting which doesn't seem to be related to politics in any way. When campaigns stop focusing on how they will increase the quality of life and economy and start focusing on moral dilemmas.... That's where I step back and become (mostly) happy that I am Canadian.

Canadian politics are not all that great either right now, though - with this lovely "Harper Government" we have going on. Never before have I seen Winnipeggers rally to get someone out of office. Graffiti saying that we need to "Save Canada - Kick Harper out" is all over the place. It wouldn't be so bad it if wasn't a majority government. Majority governments scare me.

I feel... odd. Thinking about moving to some portion of the Common Wealth. I hear things go pretty well over there.
