My FAVE is(are) house/electronica. Not the 10minute repetitive DUN DUN DUNDUN... but actual songs! I can't live without Daft Punk or Justice. I listen to those two for about an hour everyday.
Next would be rock.. as in like Nirvana, The Cure, etc.

I listen to everything under the sun except country-country (I like the new pop cross over stuff) and gospel. It is hard to pin down a favorite genre but I guess it would either be Broadway/musicals, 90's alternative, or classic rock.
My all time FAVORITE artist is Jimmy Buffett. I am a giant Parrothead and try to make it to a concert every few years. My favorite album of his is probably Far Side of the World. Favorite song of his? Can't say. I love it all. Right now I have Mademoiselle on heavy play.
I am also a huge Beatles fan. My favorite song is surprising to most, it is Here Comes the Sun. I find Beatles fans expect you to like one of the more obscure songs, or one of the heavy hitters, but....this song just makes my soul feel good!
But seriously, I listen to everything. On my play list right now I have 40s French Jazz, 90s gangsta rap, Glee covers, and Enya!

I listen to everything. Except Opera, I find that awful. If you'd have asked me what my favorite music was five years ago, I'd've said my favorite band is Nirvana and my favorite genre is alternative rock. Now, I'd still say Nirvana is my favorite band (sentimental reasons mostly, I don't listen to them so often anymore), but I don't have a favorite genre.
My dB powerAMP playlist starts with 311 and ends with Zac Brown Band. In between are A Fine Frenzy, Calexico, Enrique Iglesias, George Strait, Iron & Wine, Kyprios, Metallica, Outkast, Queen, Sia, Tech N9ne, and Vanessa Carlton.
The artists my player plays most often would be George Strait, Skylar Grey, Nine Inch Nails, Chris Young, the Dixie Chicks, Guns and Roses, the Cranberries, Tim McGraw, Annie Lennox, Blues Traveler, Dr. Hook, Blake Shelton, Iron & Wine, Tech N9ne and South Park Mexican.

I was 5 or 6 when "Walking on Broken Glass" came out. Apparently, I did the funniest dance to it ever.
I also used to absolutely have to fall asleep to Tom Petty.

Love Tom Petty. I love stoner music, even though I've never touched the stuff.
Walking on Broken Glass is one of the best music videos ever. Hugh Laurie? Yes please!

If you listened to my playlist, you'd swear I was on all kinds of drugs. Pink Floyd, Tom Petty, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Tech N9ne, and South Park Mexican songs about making cocaine. I'm really not, though, and never have been.
Hugh Laurie was in the video for that?

For fun, my entire musical artist library. And the reason I can't pick a favorite.

I'm currently obsessing over a group called Il Volo.
I'm pretty eclectic - jazz, blues, rock, top 40, 80's, oldies, opera, musicals - pretty much anything but country (even then I like a country song or two).

^ It's a little concerning when your mother's obsessing over a boy band more than you... And that says a lot since I'm obsessing.
GlassOnion - My cousin absolutely loves Daft Punk.
I don't listen to opera, although thanks to Il Volo I'm thinking of giving real opera another chance. No rap. I'm fine with songs that have some rap in them, but straight rap songs I just can't handle. No horribly hard deathmetal-type music; it irritates me... There's a fine line between what's too hard and what's not for me. Also no country-country, although I too like the crossovers. Some country-country is alright. I'm not sure about punk; I think it's a no, but I haven't listened to enough to be sure. Same with gospel as punk - never listen to it, so I don't know. Any other genres really, I'll listen to and enjoy. I've put a partial list on some post elsewhere, but some of the things I listen to pretty regularly are: Aerosmith A Fine Frenzy Anberlin Beatles (I LOVE Here Comes the Sun, Julsie!!) Beethoven (his 5th and Moonlight Sonata) Cake Chicago (Saturday in the Park) David Cook Don Maclean (American Pie) Eagles Fat Boy Slim Il Volo Insect Airport Jack Johnson Jackstraws Leona Lewis Lester & Earl (Dueling Banjos) LIGHTS Lynyrd Skynyrd Moby Nickelback One Republic Owl City Pearl Jam Port Blue Smashmouth Steve Vai (electric guitar rendition of Beethoven's 5th) Switchfoot Taylor Swift Vertical Horizon (Everything You Want) Vivaldi (four seasons mainly, although I also like some of the oboe concertos) Yes (only a couple songs)
Absolute favorite artist right now is Switchfoot. From now until they stop, or until the crowds get waaaay too big and mob-ish, I plan on seeing them in concert once a year at the San Diego County Fair. Favorite genre's constantly changing with my mood. Some days I love classical, some days I can't stand it. Switchfoot makes it to the top for me as an average - they're the band I most often love to listen to, that I love the highest percentage of songs of, and even if I'm in the mood for something else I'll still enjoy their music. So I guess, going by that, my favorite genre would be whatever sub-genre of rock Switchfoot is.

I'm pretty sure Nirvana will be my technical favorite for life since I'm sentimentally attached to them. I even thought about naming Cheney Bird Francis, but decided to use a variation of it for a future daughter, lol.

I really don't know what type of music I like. I won't rule out any genres, because there will always be songs I like from all genres.
I do listen to some pretty unique music though. My favorite performer is Amanda Palmer/The Dresden Dolls. I have so much fun listening to her music, always strikes some type of emotion.
Also, I seriously considered shaving off my eyebrows because of her
I'm also a HUGE musical fanatic. When I was a baby, my mom used to play the soundtrack from "The Phantom of the Opera" to make me fall asleep. To this day, it remains my favorite musical. I have all the soundtracks to the Disney movies, and I'll go out to see kids movies (in the guise of 'taking my little brother out'), just to hear the music.
My favorite song from a musical has got to be Defying Gravity from Wicked.

If this sounds totally obnoxious, I'm sorry, but please please please don't shave your eyebrows. If you do and ever decide to let them grow back in, it will be hell. And if you shave them enough, there's a chance they'd never grow back.
ANYWAY. Wicked was an awesome book. So was Son of a Witch. There's a third I haven't read yet, but someday I will. I've been dying to see Wicked the play.

Phantom of the Opera at Broadway was a very remarkable experience. I like funky stuff too!
Speaking of eyebrows.. I went through this phase where I started plucking my eyebrows thinner and thinner until I drew on most of them. I know it sounds gross, but it is weirdly addictive...

I've never actually done anything to my eyebrows. However, when I was little, I picked out all my eyelashes.

It tooks months for my eyebrows to grow back.. I still sometimes think about plucking them and drawing on..

Hate neuroticism! I have an awful nail-biting habit where I spend most of my day picking at nails and ripping pieces off.. The other day I got a really bad finger infection and couldn't move my middle finger because it swelled up twice its normal size.

I'm awful for picking at my finger nails.
I don't know how many times I've lost / damaged my finger nails!

Eyebrow plucking is intense and addictive, I've got the awful habit of plucking myself nearly bare when I am stressed.
