My worst fear is what I call the "scooter effect". Coming back and having a big hello CHOMP.
I have yet to hear of another bird quite like Scooter in that respect. So I think you are probably safe!
There is no other bird out there like Scooter
Tonight has been kind of weird. I had the birds out for a while, playing and cuddling with them. Einstein was in a non-stop singing mood. Like, I've never seen him like this before. Just singing and singing. I could tell he was in a really banging mood.
There was a special on TV tonight for David Suzuki. So, I put them in their cages for a bit, and they ate and I watched the special, then took a nice hot bath.
When I came out, I took everyone out again. I do this little thing with the budgies at least once a day, I'll go up to them, and put my finger by their beaks. They'll tap it and I go "Muah" (kiss sound). Well after I did it to Bonnie, she did the cute parrot turn the head sideways thing. I then went in for a scratch, and she let me! It wasn't very long, but she let me cuddle her. It was so cute.
Einstein then went into crazy super bird cuddle mode. A week of no cuddles, I had to make it up to him. He was very affectionate, and he usually tells me where to scratch (moving his head, or beaking me to go somewhere else) but tonight I was given full reign of cuddle.
I was then video taping the birds in the bird room, like I do all the time, and the budgies decided it would be fun to see what the iphone tasted like. They're usually scared of it, and when I tape them, I can't go to close to them, or they'll fly away in fear of the scary rectangle. So I got footage of them doing that.
Then, the power went out, and the power outside as well. There was like sparks outside and it was kind of weird. Then the power kept on going off and on. So, I had to wrangle everyone midst the craziness of the power going out. Surprisingly, everyone went into their cages without a single fight.
I'm so glad to be home. I love my crazy bird life
