DEB!!??!! I NEVER would have pegged you for a control freak! (But as a horseback rider, making the transition to an elephant probably wasn't an easy one, huh? )

| I was feeding an elephant peanuts at the Zoo when I was little. I thought it would be a cool idea to shove my fingers up his trunk. That's when it sneezed on me. Actually, I think that's one of the coolest moments of my life.
And you think you're a control freak? Trying being Obsessive Compulsive!

You are not suggesting we should stick to the topic are you? Really? Us? - o'TikaandAurora wrote:

Well, one of the more disconcerting things about the elephant (aside from it being a lot more than 19hands off the ground, I've ridden 19 hands without anxiety) was that there it feels like there is nothing in front of you because the head is so low. Also, even thought the skin is sort of like what I think coarse sandpaper would be to a flea (see, I'm on topic) there is nothing to hang on to whatsoever.

| Speaking of riding animals...I used to have a horse. Buddy. He was this big, fat, ball of awesome. He was used as a horse to teach people how to ride, so he was really calm. You could jump behind him screaming bloody murder, and he's not flinch (not that I ever tried).
I was too lazy and stupid to put a saddle and reins and whatnot on him. I'd just jump up on him, bareback, and grab his mane and lightly tug where I wanted to go. He was so fat, it was comfortable just riding like that. We'd go around and around.
My parents sold my horse on Christmas day. True story.

| You've always got to put humor in things. But yeah, I don't really like then either. Which is kind of sad really. And they wonder why I ended up so messed up My parents never even met the guy who bought them. We were on vacation, and he answered the ad (which I didn't know about). I don't know if it was Christmas du itself that the horses left, but it was Christmas morning when they told me. A month later my stepdad got an email from the guy. My Buddy died, I don't even know how or why. Happy New Year Alyssa! | |
