| well guys my dad finally said yes, i ordered my 2 baby hairless rats from petsupplies plus yesterday. you guys dont know this but my first pet was a hairless rat, i know people think eww gross but their really cute and sweet! ive had about 4 hairless rats over the years and they make great pets, except their lifespan isnt very long. its about 2-3 years, its shorter than regular rats because their prone to health problems. but i love rats and im really excited about it! | |

| I'm a rat lover. They're a lot like puppies. Mine used to live loose on a book shelf and use a litter box. | |

| I had a colleague trying to rehome some rats and I learned about them. I think the short lifespan would be too hard to take, for me, but they are very cool pets! I was kind of disappointed when I didn't wind up with them. | |

| I never had rats but had Flying Squirrels as pets. I catch older wild adults and give them a nest box (just like a parrot) then hand raise tame babies.I was always carring babies in my shirt pocket at school, (they sleep most all day). Even had a screen door on my bedroom so they wouldn't take over the house.Mostly they slept in the closet or in the dresser draws.Seems they lived a older life span than 3 yrs though. | |

| Oooooh! Rat Babies! So jealous!
I had them as a teen, but the hubby draws the line at 2 cats and what will (hopefully) be 4 feathered friends within the next year or so!

| Yay, rats! The hypodermic needle teeth of rodents freak me out, but I must admit rats do have the cutest personalities. | |

| Rats make great pets! When I worked with small animals, I used to sway the parents from hamsters/gerbils to the rats - especially for kids who wanted to be hands on (literally).
I was never bitten by a rat, but those darn hamsters caused me to bleed so many times (probably as I was bit once, and they sensed the fear, but also that whole nocturnal sleep pattern).

| We had hamsters when I was young. There is a long story there I won't go into, but I never was bitten. | |

As a child, I hated sleeping over at my friends houses who had hamsters. Not that I'm scared of rodents, but because those little monsters would dig, chew, and run ALL NIGHT LONG. I have no idea how those people managed to sleep.

| Flying Squirrels are the same way, fly onto your head when your sleeping, chase each other around the room at night, etc. | |

When someone else come to your apt/home and ask: How you can stand that noise?, you simply answer: What noise? If I could have all pets I want, I would probably have all excluding snakes. Rats will be on list too.
