| I was told green cheeks are cavity breeders and would enjoy some kind of sleeping tent. I kept one in her cage for a month- but she is content to sleep at the top of her Bong. Should I invest in other styles - or just leave it alone?
Thanks. | |

| I wouldn't invest in more than one. I'd leave the one you have up for her. I've heard of birds switching over to tents after several months, almost like they decide to discover it one day, while others never really take to it at all. My first GCC slept in hers from the get-go, while Allie almost seems scared of it. Go figure. It's staying in the cage though - who knows when/if she'll change her mind!

| Merlin did not have one until he came to live with me, but he is in his all the time now. Every bird is different. If she likes it great, if not you could use the space for something else. You could also try drapig a towel in one corner of the cage near a perch, then she could hide behind it if she wants some solitude.
We have some fuzzy fabric cut in strips in Arthur's cage. They function as a snuggle when he wants, or also as a toy as well.
There are some who warn against the birdie beds, due to safety issues with loose threads and such. If she decides to start using it, check regularly to remove loose threads or fabric. | |

| ^true that. Another option is to take it out for now, but every few months put it back in for a couple of weeks and see if she's interested...
