| I wish they all stayed pearly looking like that... It's such a pretty mutation!

| Dusty, females do but males don't. That's why I said I wished they ALL did! It's one of my favorite striping mutations in 'tiels and budgies. I just love it! | |

| In response to colouring - I've heard the same: Females keep the pearling, but males lose it after the first or second molt. Although.... apparently some males keep it. I can hope.....
Doppler is doing GREAT!
He still avoids hands when he is in/on his cage, but as soon as he's out he is friendly and willing to come. We're currently working on teaching him to step-up - which he's gotten awesome at outside of the cage, and still doesn't quite get INSIDE the cage. In time.
We're both RIDICULOUSLY proud of him for how much progress he made over the weekend, and I am willing to work on getting him out of the cage.
Last night, as I folded laundry, Doppler sat at the back of my neck and preeeeeeeeeeeened. It was awesome. Poe's not a preener.

| Too cute! Pearls are probably my favorite mutation.
If your breeder's line of pearl males retain their pearls, the breeder would know.
