| Yep, Lucky is a little bit smelly. I found this out, when he started sitting on my hand. He might never take shower, or he was forced to do it- the previous owner told me, that he is scared of shower. He smells something like dirty air conditioner filter. When you don't clean filter a while, that smell is in all place.
Should I shower Lucky? And if yes, how? - he will be scared - he may fly out before we put water - he may bite
Is it better idea to put kitchen gloves on and keep him and let boyfriend shower him/or opposite? Or put him in temporary budgies small cage and shower him like that? Any ideas how to do it with as least harm for a bird as possible? Maybe simple, but good warm bottle-spray will be enough? (No, I don't think so) Or maybe it's a natural 'zon smell/scared 'zon? | |

| He is sitting on the shower courtn. rod as long as you won't turn on water. The same with the kitchen sink, it's like his favorite place until he hears water. I'll put him bigger dish in his cage to have a shower. I forgot that he have that in the previous place. Maybe he will use it I don't want to scare him, that's the last thing to do... | |

| The bigger dish may be the answer. I have birds that shower and ones that bath, very few like both. If he will bath then keep a clean water bath for him all of the time and he will use it several times a week especially if he can get to the sun to preen and dry. | |

| I changed the water in the morning and for purpose gave him warm water. His respond was immediately going part after part inside. Sunday is a bird fair, if I won't be working, I'll go there. I have a list of things to buy already I think about putting plastic dish(deep one), like I do with budgies, but I'm afraid he will not like it and water will be all over... Well, what the heck, let's try... | |

| If it's warm in your house, you can use very cold water. In the summer I use refrigerated water. The colder the water, the tighter and prettier the feathers end up. | |

| Try a spray bottle. Spray it upward so it falls down lightly, like misty rain. And he can stay in his cage for this. Just don't spray it directly at him(: | |
