Piper Video & Update.

Little Piper is apparently feeling better judging by the fact that he's going bonkers trying to get out of the little jail to be with his friends. I set his tiny cage on top of the two bigger cages since the vet said he wasn't contaigous and Pigpen has been clinging to the wall to see in.

Piper's droppings are still dark which I was told is a side effect of the medications. He's eating and drinking and playing. He's also no longer stargazing which is a wonderful sign. I think he's a bit sleepy because I kept peeking in on him over night. The good thing is that if he sees a light on at night, he thinks it's time to eat! This is great because he dropped some grams and needs to bulk up a little bit.

Other than that, we're just waiting for blood work results. I'm trying to figure out a way to add more vitamin A to his diet without adding too much to Pigpen's or Cheney's. They hate sprouts and are really picky about what they will eat, so this is going to be a difficult road.

I see what you mean, he wants back with his friends in the worst way, doesn't he? Poor baby! I hope he continues on the right path and gets better fast. I've been thinking about y'all.

I put Piper on top of the other two cages to hang out. Pigpen is trying to break in to be with her friend! She's been there for the past 20 minutes.

This may be a stupid question, but if he's not contagious, why can't they be together?

It's harder to tell their droppings apart and I need to continue to monitor the color. Right now, they're between dark green and black, so I need to know when and if that changes. I also need to monitor food and water intake. And Pigpen is a fat little piggy and knocks Piper out of the way to eat in the big cage, so I don't want to risk that now.

Ok, I was sure I was missing something somewhere!

I really hope this means he's doing better!

His droppings are still dark, but he is active and has made a break for twice when I've opened the cage door. He seems well, even if he is grumpy.
