Warning Kaytee handfeeding formulas

The following's info on some Kaytee handfeeding formula that's been causing deaths.

Forwarded info:
Final lab results were concluded on Friday and indicated that product was produced incorrectly. Involved was one production batch of Handfeeding Formula for Baby Birds and one of Macaw Handfeeding Formula. Both of these have levels of vitamin D3 that may cause kidney damage, the severity of which will be dependent on the species being fed, age of babies fed and the duration of feeding.

I received an email earlier from a Zupreem representative stating that all Zupreem products, including handfeeding formulas, are safe and nothing has been recalled.

As such, I am going to edit this title to reflect that the recall ONLY affects Kaytee.

Not a problem! But as I have no real intention of being sued, I'm going to edit this post to completely remove the Zupreem references!

To be fair, the Zupreem references were given as "I also heard that" and not as fact, but I suppose removing them is the better part of valor. It's odd that they are THAT adamant, must be a lot of rumors circulating.

He was really nice about it, but I have no real intention of testing the limits. I'm not entirely sure how libel/slander/whatever suits work and I'd really prefer not to find out.

I am also quite surprised that a Zupreem representative knows about and apparently reads the forum.

They probably have 'bots crawling the web looking for the name, and someone eventually scans over the hits. At least, that's what I'd guess.

There was an additional email to the actual representative. I'm assuming the initial ping was due to some kind of bot, but the actual email was sent by a field associate.
