| I make this for the birds at my breeders shop and even the picky eaters like it. Im not sure how healthy it is but here it it:
Strawberry birdie bread:
3 cups pulverized almonds, or pellets (I didn't have pellets so I used almonds!) 1 cup of strawberry yogurt 1 cup of strawberry jam 1 cup of honey 2 eggs (I also added the egg shells!) 1 package Bisquick biscuit mix
Mix well. Bake at 350F for 40 minutes. Cool. Cut into serving size pieces and freeze until needed.

Yep! Heres some other recipes. You could also just make birdie corn muffins. Just follow the directions on the package and add the egg shells in with the egg. Add dried fruits, veggies, pellets, sprinkle with cayenne pepper and vola! Parrot mac and cheese: Whole wheat pasta, boil according to package. Sprinkle with soy cheese over the hot pasta. Melt it all up! Add dried fruit, veggies, crumbled hard boiled egg, etc. You can even freeze extras and use it later!

| I make bird bread every week, but I just kind of wing the measurements according to the thickness of the mixture...
- pellets, barley, quinoa, rice, add a little bit of cornmeal and flour for texture in my magic bullet DRY. - 1 whole egg, about half a cup of colourful veggies + about half a cup of blueberries, blackberries, raspberries ALL BLENDED in a my Magic Bullet with some apple juice - add more apple juice or dry ingredients as needed for a thick batter - dash of flax seed, sesame seed, poppy seeds, bird seed, chopped nuts - pinch of bird vitamins

| I used sugar free jam and honey that I got from the farm a mile from my house that has their own bees so it was all natural. I got the recipe off a bird safe website. | |

| I'd be careful with the egg shells, you need to bake them and then crush them into dust. Otherwise they could cause issue with the GI tract if just crushed fresh. | |

| My hen is a very picky eater. When she first came to me, they had a bag of cockatiel food. She was very hard to convert. She likes only certain things and rejects others. I guess you will have to try different thing and see what she likes. | |

Are there problems reported with the texture? Or are you worried about contamination here? I've done scrambled eggs served in the shell, but I microwaved or boiled the shells to kill off any bacteria.

| Just one little comment...regardless of being all natural or not, Honey is almost pure sugar. Its 80% fructose and glucose. | |
