| Sex linked is most common. I've heard they come in recessive yellow cheek also. I think the recessive yellow cheek is more golden. But I don't think I could tell the two apart unless I had several of each type side by side.
Something about you don't want to pair with whiteface so the whiteface doesn't mask the yellow cheek mutation.
