| Hi, my name is Julie, and I have a problem.
I am addicted to parrots.
I spend all my free time learning about, reading about, googling, and youtubing parrots.
I often mumble under my breath to my kids "why can't you be more likes the birds!"
I dream of the day my oldest moves out for college and can turn his room into a bird room. He can sleep on the couch, right?
I'd trade my husband for a parrot. No really. Any parrot. ANY PARROT.
I dream about parrots.
I have a problem, and I need help. |

| Weelll, it WOULD be weird if he weren't so freakin' adorable He's good, eating better and still amazing me with what he lets me do to him. I'll have to youtube him soon so y'all don't think I'm crazy. Of course, he HAS developed that "gronking" habit that sidech talked about in the previous forum. It makes me feel better that I've read it goes away at about 6 or 7 months, but it's pretty stinkin' annoying. Luckily it's not constant and relatively easy to stop if the hubby's studying and getting irritated . Just throw him in his cage, shower, or out on the porch in the sun. He pretty much only does it when one of us is holding him or talking to him. Guess he's just bein' a talkative baby. | |

You make me laugh, because it sounds like the first sentence in the AA meetings or other addition-meetings I've seen on TV Hi, my name is Margaret and I think we all have that problem here! | |

| Yeah, I think if the point of this "support group" is to NOT get anymore parrots - It's doomed. I for one egg others into getting another one so "I" feel better. You know - the whole living vicariously thing! Kinda like being on a diet. . . I shouldn't eat that piece of cake, but I'll feel better if you do! | |

| I'd get another one in a heartbeat, but with me railing about the animals we already and not being able to afford the upkeep (we can, but it's one hell of a drain on the wallet), if I bought another parrot i'd be in real trouble. I can still dream, though (I peek at Kijiji almost daily, hoping to trip over a deal I can't pass up) | |

| I thought being a little "off the bubble" was a requirement for our little (and obviously growing quickly) support group | |
