| I walked outside today, there were some sparrows on the ground eating seeds. As I walked closer they flew off, except for one. That one sparrow crashed into a brick and looked scared. I watched it for 5 minutes before it tried to fly to the tree with the others. It had to hop from one branch to another to get any where close to the others. The bird looks like a baby, not like a BABY but a young bird. http://www.flickr.com/photos/hamim-chowdhury/6861093642/ <- that is what the bird looks like, but this one is younger. It is at the middle of a tree with the others but it can't fly very far. It is eating from a suet feeder and I think is trying to get to the bird bath. Any advice?? | |

| Don't mess with it.Probably just fledged, or it might be sick. If it's sick ,for sure you don't want it anywhere around your birds. I'd let nature "take it's course". | |

| If you have a pet cat, don't let it outside. | |

| I don't.. but my neighboors have like 11. I went outside today, still can't fly very far. But it is learning to hop from the ground to the roof of my house to where the others are. He seems to be healthy. | |

| Sad as it may be, you need to just leave it alone. They're not all meant to survive.
Take it in if you want a new pet. Just be aware that you may be infecting your current bird(s) if it has something. | |

| It is very adventurous. I believe it is getting better at flying. The mom has come near the bird trying to feed it. I think it fell out of the nest. | |
