| Called the school again a couple of minutes ago and they are unable to find anyone there that may have found a bird. I gave her my contact information again and am hoping that they call. The Surry Animal Rescue seemed so sure the school actually had the bird.  | |

| As of yesterday evening, Piper has been missing for a full week.
I did some Google Earthing to find out that the "woods" behind her house where he likely was is actually only about 300ft. across by 200ft. long. There is absolutely no excuse for why she was unable to walk through them looking for him.
As I've sat here trying to get the word out about Piper, and realized how great some people are at passing around flyers and posting on social networking sites about it, I've realized that not all people are as completely worthless, lazy, and insufferable as the former foster is. I have no words for how absolutely angry I am that she was so stupid to let a flighted bird outside. And I have even fewer words to describe how angry I am that she has been so uncaring and selfish with regards to not looking for him. | |

| The way you've described the behavior is so far out there as to be pathological. The only advice I have is not to spend too much time trying to figure it out... trying to figure out where a crazy person is coming from just makes you crazy IME. I'm really sorry this happened. | |

| A parakeet has been found nearly 100 miles from where Piper went missing. Given the time that he went missing, he'd only have been traveling about 8 miles a day.

just got an email from Parrot U. in Pineville, NC saying that they
found a bird that looks very similar to Piper. He is meant to go to a
quarantine home today but would hold him at their offices if I could
make it up to see him. Unfortunately, I have no car and would be unable
to do so. I did email them pictures and video (that Piper should respond
to -- he normally flies to me when he hears it), so hopefully I will
have good news today. | |
