| I grew up in Wilmington and would be glad to help .i have lots of friends and contacts there .even know of someone who might watch your birds for you. Need help finding a place to stay ? I have a 24 yr old son there. I have several contact at UNCW (mostly Marine Sciences , sold them my old swordfish longliner as a research vessel, RV Cape Fear). I remember when River Watch got started and meet a few of their people out on the river over the years. | |

If there is someone that could birdsit for me in Wilmington, that would be AMAZING. I'll be staying in the intern house which is why I can't have them with me. But I plan on making the move permanent. Julie said she'd watch them, but I'd love if they were closer so I could see them.

| Great news Kaela, hope it all works out for you! I must have missed something but I thought you were contemplating a move to California?
Not to steal the thread, but you mentioned Julie, how is she? Tell her we miss her!

Not to steal the thread, but you mentioned Julie, how is she? Tell her we miss her! A move to California would be impractical and dangerous considering the issues that I currently have with someone in that state. Being by the beach in NC is the next best thing! Julie is good. I will definitely let her know you guys miss her!

| Let me know if you want to contact her, i gave her a OWA baby years ago because she would baby sit my birds for me. That OWA is her best friend now because her kids have grown and gone and she at home with MS. Sure you two would get along great. PS she's the same lady who helped Hannah with the home school thing. | |

This is going to be a stupid question. I was watching tv, and I don't remember if this was NC or SC but, there was 'wild' horses on the beach. Is that true?

| Chincoteague Island in Virgina is famous for the feral "ponies" and the annual roundup and swim (I think they still swim them, but I'm not sure). Is that what you are thinking of? I think there are also some feral herds in the Outer Banks. | |

Julie or Vicki have my phone number. Ask one of them to give it to you and text me. I'd love to meet her!

| New gripe..
Packing. It sucks. I hate it. I have always hated it. I'm trying not to put it off until last minute and not know what to do with anything, but it is so hard to get motivated to pack.

I have four bags of trash, a bag of clothes to donate, furniture to figure out what to do with, and various other stuff to still pack. I also have laundry to do before I can pack that, too.

I'm detouring through Mt. Airy to drop them off with Julie. She's going to keep them until I move out of the intern house and into my own place in August. I'm hoping Sparrow teaches CB how to be a normal GCC.

| Hahaha, good luck, Sparrow and CB will probably teach each other bad habits. BTW say hello to the Ingrahams (Luke,Ben and Ronnie) in your travels. If your on the lower river you'll meet them. | |

I'm not entirely sure what I'll be doing, but I know it'll be all in the Lower Cape Fear River Basin. My internship is with the Cape Fear River Watch and I'll be living at the intern house in downtown Wilmington. CB will be doing all the bad habit teaching. He is the devil with feathers. And Piper may or may not have learned to swear. But, shhh.

Maybe. But I have to drop them off pretty quickly on the 14th. I won't be getting to Wilmington until sometime after midnight.
